The Plain Language Policy Dashboard is a project of New Disabled South. The dashboard breaks down complex legislation into plain language, making it easier to understand and making it more accessible. The goal of this dashboard is to have plain language versions of bills in states across the Southern United States.
We welcome your feedback. If you have any suggestions about how to make the dashboard better, please contact us at this form.
The team at New Disabled South is always improving our dashboard so it can be accessible for all disabled people. We follow the accessibility standards from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) gives rules for designers and developers to improve accessibility for disabled people. It has three levels: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. New Disabled South’s Plain Language Policy Dashboard was tested for accessibility by an external agency. This testing found that this dashboard follows the rules with WCAG 2.1 level AA. If you find any issues with the accessibility of this dashboard, please contact us at this form.
